The Stock module keeps count of what is left in your storeroom: every sale takes some away, every purchase adds some. By the end of this article, you will know which products to track, how to recount your storeroom, and how to spot in time what needs reordering.

1Choose which products to track
Open a product in Catalogue › Products. Under How is this item counted?, pick one of the three answers:
- Track its stock: what is left gets counted. A bottle, a can, a croissant.
- Made of items: the dish is made from other products. A toasted ham and cheese sandwich, for example, is made of bread, ham and cheese: each sale lowers the stock of its ingredients. The dish itself has no stock.
- Not counted: a coffee, salt, a service.
For a tracked product, enter the current quantity under Stock, the Low stock threshold that triggers the alert, and the Unit. Then click Save.

Tip — Only track what is easy to count. Sugar and spices do not need it.
2See what is left
Open Management › Stock. Under the title, the Stock tab opens on What is left. Every tracked product is listed with its quantity and status: In stock, To reorder (below the threshold) or Out of stock. The Running low and Out of stock cards filter the list in one click.
Dishes made of items do not appear here: their ingredients do.
On each row, Correct records the quantity you have just counted, and Loss records goods that were broken, expired or given away, with a reason.

Important — At zero, the till keeps selling. Stock helps you order: it never blocks a payment. A product that drops below zero is simply telling you it is time to recount.
3Run a stocktake
Open the Stocktake tab and follow the three steps:
- download the Stocktake sheet and count by hand in the storeroom. Expected quantities are left off, so your count stays unbiased;
- type what you see in the Counted column. An empty box is left untouched;
- click Confirm the stock count.
Differences are written to the Log tab, with the name of whoever counted. Anything that matches writes nothing. At the foot of the card, Suggest a recount: sets how often CYSOL reminds you.

4Let the stock radar warn you
Open Management › Stock, then the Stock radar tab under the title. What needs your attention comes first; when nothing is missing, it says Well done, everything is in order! Six tiles sum things up: Out of stock, Running low, Idle money, Losses, Count shortfalls and To check.
- Under To order, the Order button prepares the order for the supplier, with a suggested quantity.
- This week's count offers a few products to Count, without showing the expected figure.
- Settings sets the sales pace and the email alerts.
For the first few days, the radar learns your sales; forecasts come after that. It is reserved for the Owner and for accounts with the “See business control” right.

Tip — Without purchase prices, the radar cannot put a figure on idle money or losses. If an orange banner says so, click Add the prices.
