Delete your CYSOL POS account
Last updated: 8 October 2026
This document is a translation of the French original. In the event of any discrepancy, the French version prevails.
This page explains how to request the deletion of a CYSOL POS account — the point-of-sale app for Android and the online service at cysolpos.com — and of all the data attached to it. CYSOL POS is published by cysol OÜ.
The request belongs to the account's owner, the person who created it. A business's employees and customers do not have a CYSOL account: their data belongs to that business, and they should contact it directly.
From the app or the website, in one minute
- Open the back office: sign in at cysolpos.com, or, from the till in the app, open the menu and tap Dashboard.
- Go to Settings, then My account.
- Tap Delete my account, then Yes, I confirm.
The deletion date is shown straight away. Until then, a Cancel my request button lets you change your mind.
By email, if you can no longer sign in
Write to contact@cysolpos.com from the account's email address, with the subject "Account deletion" and the name of the business. If you write from another address, we will ask you to prove that the account is yours: no one should be able to have someone else's business erased.
We record the request and confirm it to you within one month at most. Access to the account is then closed, and the thirty-day period described below applies.
What happens during the thirty days
- Nothing is deleted yet. When the request is made from the app, the account keeps working: it sells, takes payments and exports.
- The Pro subscription stops on its own: no charge after the period already paid, with nothing else to cancel. That period is not refunded, except in the cases set out in our refund policy.
- Download your data: Settings, My account, Download all my data. If the law requires you to keep your sales and accounting records, keep this archive: once the account is deleted, we can no longer give you anything back.
At the end of the thirty days, we delete the account and everything listed below, permanently.
What is deleted
- the accounts of the owner and their team: name, email address, password, photo, open sessions;
- the business: name, address, phone number, tax ID, settings, paired devices and their IP address;
- the menu: items, prices, photos, variants, recipes, stock;
- sales, receipts, payments, discounts, end-of-day reports, expenses, purchases, orders, suppliers and fixed costs;
- employees: identity, contact details, ID document, social security number, bank details, wages, time clock, advances, access codes, photos;
- quotes and invoices issued by the business, with its customers' names and addresses;
- support requests and their attachments;
- the history of back-office actions and of our support team's access, with their IP addresses.
What is kept, and for how long
| Data | Why | Period |
|---|---|---|
| Pro subscription invoices and payments: amounts, dates, invoice numbers, billing name and address | accounting obligation (Estonian Accounting Act) | seven years |
| Encrypted backup copies taken before the deletion | recovery after an incident | fourteen days on the server, thirty days for the copy kept off the server |
| Server error log and error alerts, which may mention an email or IP address | troubleshooting | twelve months at most |
| Emails exchanged with our support team | record of our exchanges | no fixed period |
Nothing else is kept. If you never paid for the Pro plan, the first row does not apply to you. Stripe, which processes the subscription payment, keeps its own data under its own privacy policy.
